Mr. President,
Denmark welcomes the delegation of China and thanks for its presentation.
Enjoyment of human rights, as provided for in China’s constitution and in line with applicable international obligations, should be fully ensured for religious and ethnic minorities, also in Xinjiang and Tibet.

Denmark recommends the Government to facilitate full access to Xinjiang and Tibet for all relevant UN special procedures.

Within the context of the Law of Administration of Activities of Overseas NGOs, the limited number of Professional Supervisory Units is shrinking the space for civil society in China.
Denmark recommends the Government to expand the list of PSUs to accommodate registration of NGOs that seek to work in China.

Finally, Denmark recommends the Government to ratify OPCAT.

Thank you.
