UPR40: Denmark recommends Zimbabwe to ratify OP-CEDAW, ILO convention 169 and UNCAT

Denmark welcomes the delegation of Zimbabwe and thanks it for its presentation.
Denmark recommends Zimbabwe to:
1. Ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
2. Ratify the Indigenous and Tribal Peoples convention No. 169 of the International Labour Organisation.
3. Ratify the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
Allow me in this regard to highlight that the Convention against Torture Initiative (CTI) stands ready to explore avenues to assist Zimbabwe in advancing on the ratification of CAT, if deemed helpful.
Denmark wishes Zimbabwe a successful review.
