UPR44: Denmark gives recommendations to Germany

Mr. President,
Denmark welcomes the delegation from the Federal Republic of Germany.
Denmark commends the Federal Republic of Germany for ratifying the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence, the so-called Istanbul Convention,. However, we note that further efforts are needed to implement it to full extent:
Denmark recommends Germany to establish a national action plan to implement the Istanbul Convention; and to increase the number of domestic violence shelters to meet current demands.
Denmark recognizes the efforts to digitalise the German society, however;
Denmark recommends Germany to enhance the digital literacy and skills of children, parents and teachers, including by incorporating digital literacy into school curricula.
Denmark wishes Germany a successful review.
