Mr. President,
Denmark thanks the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their presentation.

Denmark welcomes legislative improvements concerning gender-based violence. However, Denmark notes that domestic violence in Bosnia and Herzegovina remains an issue of concern.
Denmark recommends the Government to ensure that laws on protection against domestic violence are fully in line with the Istanbul Convention.
Denmark also notes the Committee against Torture’s concerns regarding a lack of investigations of attacks against LGBTI persons, especially during public assemblies.
Denmark recommends the Government to provide training to law enforcement and judiciary officers in tackling discrimination, hate speech and acts of violence based on the sexual orientation and gender identity of the victims.
Denmark wishes Bosnia and Herzegovina a successful review.

I thank you.
